Lost your only car key, need a spare, or have a key fob that stopped working? Nine Keys Locksmith comes to you anywhere in Richardson. In many cases we can cut and program a new key right at your vehicle, so you may not need a tow or a trip to the dealer. It depends on the vehicle, so call and we’ll walk you through it.
Send us the year, make and model and where the car is. We’ll call you to go over the details and pricing before we head out.
Tell us the year, make and model and what happened. We’ll let you know what’s possible for your vehicle before we head out. Locked out instead? See our vehicle lockout service.
A stolen key is more than a missing key. When it happens, the goal is a working replacement and, where the vehicle allows it, erasing the stolen key from the car’s memory so it can no longer start the engine.
Erasing a key does not change the mechanical lock, so the stolen blade may still open the door. If that worries you, mention it when you call and we’ll talk through your options.

Often, yes. We can usually get into the vehicle, work out the key cuts, cut a new key and program it on-site. Whether it can be done at the car depends on the year, make and model, so call with the vehicle details and we’ll tell you before we come out.
In many cases, no. A mobile locksmith comes to the vehicle, which can save you a tow and a dealer appointment. Some vehicles do need dealer equipment; if yours is one of them, we’ll tell you on the phone. More on this: locksmith vs. dealership for car key replacement.
Depending on the vehicle and its security system, we may be able to erase lost or stolen keys from the car’s memory so they can no longer start it. Erasing a key does not change the mechanical lock, so the old key blade may still open the door or trunk. If that’s a concern, mention it when you call.
The year, make and model (the VIN helps), where the car is, and how many keys you need. A spare is a good idea. For proof of ownership, bring a driver’s license or government ID with details that match the vehicle’s registration, title, or an insurance document that shows ownership.
